Atlas Honda is going to invest $35 million in Lahore motor
bike industry. Government’s investor friendly policy and reduction of tax
inspired Honda to take such decision. The investment will also introduce latest
technology to the local people and increase the export of Pakistani assembled
motor bike.
Currently the plant is capable to produce 0.75 million motor
bikes per year. They have plan to increase the number to 1 million motor bikes
per year. Pakistani authority requested Honda to make the number to 2 million
and ensured them to provide every single opportunity to grab the both local and
regional market.
Honda authority in a message while declaring the investment
decision describe Pakistani workforce as one of the most talented workforce of
the world. Pakistani officials are hopping that after this investment, Pakistan
will be able to attract more foreign direct investment which will be a great
help for the economy of the country.
